And not one but two Wagners, at $10K+ each. Anyone know what tube he uses?

Maybe people need "back to school" money?

Funny, typing "Neumann U47" into eBay search, I only found two: one with VF14 and one with Nuvistor replacement circuitry.

I counted four U47's, the two Wagners and two VF14.

To be accurate: Wagner's mics are not U47s. They are copies of a famous mic, and we don't even need to argue here how well they are executed.

But lets try to keep a distinction between 'original' and 'copy', for clarity's sake.

I have been looking for U47's on a regular basis but did not find many for sale irrespective of originality and quality.
Getting a good one rhat is suitable for studio use is not easy.
