Write back what happened. This is a wild ride.
The client had to go on a trip and we had to finish up the project before she left. I tried a couple of things but I was always afraid that I would lift the acetate. Once before I got in an acetate disk that was lifting up. It was a glass disk made during WWII. I was very careful with it but I could do nothing due to its condition. I was going to send it to Nashville, to a specialist there, to have it glued down and transferred but the glass disk broke in transit to him even though it was placed between two vinyl records and packed well. I also had a acetate disk that was lifting up that had an aluminum substrate and the aluminum must not have been thoroughly cleaned as one half of the acetate was lifting off while the other side was fine. I was able to tape the acetate down with masking tape on the edge and do the transfer but it was probably the last time that record could have been played. The real problem with these acetates, that were stored in Saran wrap, was that they were in pretty good shape if they had not been stored the way they were. The levels were also very very low and in most cases the noise was more than the signal.
