Class-D amplifiers
« on: March 03, 2012, 11:40:12 AM »

I know that there are a good handful who have enjoyed the Hypex and B&O Ice module based class-D amplifiers. I'm wondering if people 'round here have dabbled in these even newer class-D designs, or if they're still enjoying the Hypex or B&O types. Class-D has obviously come a very long way in recent years and to the point where we see some very high-end boutique audiophile amps using this technology.

I've been using John Hillig/Musical Design Hafler modded amps and also McIntosh for the most part.

Here is a class-D kit that interests me:

They even have chassis ready to go, complete kits and even complete amps.
