Don't know of anyone definitely.

I remember Elvis Costello released some 78s a year or two ago.

So somebody's doin' it.

Do they need a real 78 cut or will 78 rpm with a stereo microgroove head be close enough?

Every lathe I've ever seen runs 78!

I have a bunch of 16" 33 1/3 records that I got from my in-laws. I've never been able to play them due to not finding a turntable where they will fit.

KAB made one http://www.kabusa.com/kabtrs2.htm no longer in production these guys still do http://www.esotericsound.com/turntable1.htm in case you want to get one.

I had a rek-o-kut turntable and 16" arm but I sold them a very long time ago. Never got any 16" transcriptions in to restore and it was taking up space. Someone on Ebay got a good deal.

They are still around in back rooms of radio stations and some college libraries. Every once in awhile I see one on Audiogon but it has been a while. Best of luck!

Thanks Tom. The collection is mainly transcription recordings from the big band era. It would be great to hear them.
