Hi, and happy new year!

I've been offered a apogee AD 8000 DAC VIII for a good price. I'm wondering if there are any limitations this unit has, since it is about 20 years old. I'm not worried about lack of lightpipe. I want it mainly as masterclock and to match up units using combo of AES and sp/dif.

I realised after buying an old 03D, that some digital products do not age well, but from what I can see, this unit has many usable functions.

Any thoughts?
