Hi All,

I have a friend who has long-term loaned me his Quantec 2402 Yardstick. The trouble is, I'm an outboard analog guy and need the thing to have an analog section. It only comes with an AES In/Out.  I talked with Jim Williams about cobbling together some A/D & D/A but since I'm moving this thing around alot, I'd need to package it up in a 1U rackmount in the rear of my roller-rack.

Does anyone have any other ideas for a good analog stage for this machine? It only has to do stereo 24/48K in and out on the converters.

If you were in the UK I'd suggest you take a look at something like the Sonifex RB-ADDA1 which is a 1U rack mount a/d and d/a with good quality convertors at a reasonable price. Cedar also rebadged it as an accessory for their digital only processors.

Sonifex are more of a broadcast oriented company so maybe it might be worth seeing if there is a US equivalent.

Thanks fellas....that Sonifex looks like the ticket....a bit pricey so I'll watch EBay I think.
