Where to add in my Eclipse-analog or digital?
« on: October 08, 2009, 11:08:58 AM »

Okay, my DIGI002R is hooked up to my Apogee Rosetta 200 by SPDIF. That leaves the optical ports on the DIGI available. Should I put my Eventide Eclipse on an AUX using 1/4 jacks or the optical I/O?

Is the 1/4 inch balanced or un?  If it's unbalanced, maybe consider the cable length should be kept to a minimum.

Might be good to go digi i/o with the eclipse and leave the analog i/o open for other uses.

I find the eclipse to have a fair amount of analog noise. I hooked some up AES and they were silent.
