OK, fair enough. However, it's still a requirement of the forum that you give your real name, either in your profile or in your signature.

can we PLEASE have this rule ENFORCED??

I entered my name in the appropriate field a while back For some reason it doesn't show up in my profile. I'm having this anomaly looked into, so we can all take a deep breath and get out of ALL CAPS for the moment.

Cordially,

This happens when you have switched on 'Hide Online Status'.

If you don't mind people seeing when you are online, you can turn this off, and your name will then show in your profile.

I'd like to know why this anomaly occurs, and whether anything can be done about it.

(Then again, why do people hide their online status at all?)

I dunno, I just made the switch in Hide Online Status, but my name doesn't yet show up in profile.

Still open to suggestions,

At four or five times the price of the Vari-Mu, that's not exactly in the same price range (and definitely not "budget" gear!).
