Not quite apples to apples but...

Radar Classic vs. Otari MX90 24 track 2" @ +9/185nW/m at 15ips

Pretty close actually except a slightly softer top on tape (by softer I mean the RADAR had a slight harshness on the top, but the clarity was still there on tape without the "fuzz"). The most noticable observation which really jumped out at me was the sense of depth I heard on the tape tracks whereas the RADAR seemed 2 dimentional in comparison.

EQ wise, again pretty close - but I'm not really interested in what tape does EQ wise - I already own a bunch of eqs for that Smile
