Okay so in one of my other threads combining firewire interfaces of multiple brands was ruled out, as was a viable solution for 24 channels of 96k over lightpipe.  I am left thinking that using my PC, running Samplitude, the best option in terms of stability and latency is to stick with Lynx AES-16 cards for my interfacing, connecting my converters to that.  Whether or not I replace my Lynx Aurora 16 converter with an Apogee Rosetta 800, I am going to want to add another 8 channels of i/o to my setup.  So I'm looking for an 8 channel 96k compatible A/D/A converter with WC input that does AES/EBU and costs less than $1000 used.  Is there ANYTHING out there with these specs?  Please advise!!!

Best,
Nicholas

I have no idea what the "used market" looks like these days... but I don't think I would replace 16 channels of Lynx for 8 channels of Apogee.  I'd maybe look to add 8 more channels of Aurora to get you to 24 but the other would seem to be a parallel [as in sideways, not forward] move for all intents and purposes.

Peace.
