Do any of you guys remember these?

I just recently found my old installation disk,

I actually really like the sound of these.

Tested the EQ and Comp in the VST analyzer, great results, and the EQ is very accurate! not harsh

Brad > I did the "3db" on the highs tests, and it did sound good.

the comp is pretty transparent , nice little desser too.

Certainly. I'm not usually one for plugins but I've used the EQ via Direct X on SADiE - usually just 2 or 3 bands, both for notching and broad tweaks. Not bad and I've relied on the soft sat in the past to soak up peaks a tad.  Smile
Definitely not a harsh sound.

Haven't tried Alogrithmix, however.

I've never seen those - were these included with TC Spark?

fwiw - a couple of the older TC plugs such as the Dynamizer - http://www.sydec.be/Products/Details/ID/d610f17c-3140-4126-9 8e5-5739225d04ce/TC%7cDynamizer/ - are available still as Soundscape DSP based plugins that run on the DSP in their cards, like Mixtreme & Mixpander.  I actually have a Mixtreme 192 for one of my DAW's but I've never used any of their TC stuff so can't comment on whether it is still worthy of use - but having had a TC Finalizer + at my old workplace - I think there are most likely better options out there now.

I've never used any of the TC Powercore stuff either - but have generally seen mixed reviews on it.  Now the 6000 on the other hand- that thing seems to have quite a number of fans.  Can't say I've ever felt that it was something I would want to prioritize on my equipment wish list though.

Best regards,
Steve Berson

Plug-in nostalgia?
Yikes ...

I don't feel very nostalgic for a Commodore 64 or Pong either. I can't imagine this feeling in regards to any digital technology really. It all seems so dispensable.

Is it me, or am I in a room full of people that don't know who pink floyd is.

Old Plugins??? What, is that like 6 years old?

I've got some great old vintage plugin's for sale. Get that protools OS8 sound.

Heh, count me out there. Yes, I was surprised, too.
Relics? Not a bad compilation.

Still use TC's Compressor-DeEsser a lot because of it's simple/effective Side Chain capability. See the "Key Input" switch? That's a very nice plugin.

From the same plugin pack i am also still using TC's Native Reverb. Good for short, warm, reverberation.

I also use Steinberg's QMetric equalizer a lot.

It's a great topic, just maybe 20 years ahead of it's time.
But, hey!... who wants to wait?
