light conversation
« on: July 02, 2006, 11:32:35 AM »

just thought i would post this at it made me smile.

when having lunch with my girlfriend and explaining about the new wump track being a rock number.
she says to me

'well that should be easy enough hun, all you've got to do is make it dynamic and punchy while being loud enough but not distorting'  Shocked

I was soo shocked that she had came out with all these terms and she knows nothing about music production.

I'm now thinking that I should let her do the mastering and I should do the cooking and washing (not that she does anyway)  Laughing

have a good day

Girls/women often know many interesting things.
Why not play your master for her? Smile

Emily Lazar is responsible for ruining the newest Prodigy album, that's who  Crying or Very Sad

Well, that might be unfair as Liam Howlett may have twisted her arm shouting "louder, louder"

Or not:
“I couldn't believe how the tracks just went up a few more gears,” Howlett says of Lazar's input into the album. “She would put hers up against ours and go, ‘This is what you've got, and this is us,’ and it just jumped up another five decibels.”

BTW it was mastered as stems, drums/vocals/keyboards/etc.
