OWC Mercury Elite Pro FW400

Does anyone know if this would get around the IRQ conflict issue since it has firewire ports onboard?

By that I mean installing Traction 2 on this harddrive and plugging the Mackie Onyx 1220 firewire directly into this combo harddrive/firewire port?

Would this work even if the firewire port on the laptop is, in fact, set to the same IRQ as the videocard?

Would the 2-way monitoring be enabled on the Mackie by virtue of the
"Oxford 911 Bridge Solution"

Anybody know or had experience with these IRQ nightmareas and firewire on a laptop?? Tried the PCMCIA workaround to no avail ...

(anyone want to buy a PCMCIA firewire card?)
