UAD-1 Plugin Price Drops
« on: May 01, 2006, 03:15:56 PM »

Not sure if this is new, but the pricing seems to have been lowered on all the UAD-1 plugins.

Maybe this is in preparation for a new replacement model?

This is great. I just puchased two UAD-1 cards, one of them including the flexi pak. I hope this is all to the benefit of mine...

..If not, I'm happy to share this with all the other audio engineers worldwide. If nothing else, it shows that you guys also noticed what good digital audio would sound like.

Cheers,

Sometimes it's good to be slow. I god the UAD-1 cards a month ago and didn't bother to purchase/register any plugins until today. Turns out waiting to May saved me 15% off which meant around $150 or more.

Sweet!

I bought the Fairchild, Pultec Pro, 1176LN and LA2A of course. They're the main reason for buying those cards, if you ask me. I also bought the Plate 140 and the Roland bundle (CE-1, Dimension D and RE-201).

I'm thinking of trying out the Cambridge and Precision Equalizer later down the road, but right now I don't need those. I liked the Precision Limiter too, although I've got other limiters that are decent right now.
Also, the DreamVerb wasn't bad but since I got the TC Powercore Firewire with the VSS3 and NonLin2 reverbs I felt it to be redundant. Gotta say the Plate 140 sounded better than what I've heard from TC as far as plates go.

Now we'll just have to wait and see what they can come up with as far as that Neve coop goes. Smile
