i don't know about law or audio, but medicine will take about ten years, all in all, to complete
it's fun when you get there, though
and a guaranteed income, which is more than you can say about audio, but less than law

Seriously, if your dream is Music, then you should do it. If you don't, you will always look back and wonder what would have happened. Of course, if you do, you are going to find out!
Just be aware that it is not the easiest business to be/stay successful in. You'll have to work VERY hard.
But if you have the dream...
